Project Purpose

The Lagoon is a wildlife refuge and a key wetland ecologically important to the biodiversity of the area. Excavation and remediation of area to protect wetlands and nutrient sensitive areas have been determined by community leaders and key stakeholders to prioritize action for the catchment

Completed Scope of Work

  • 3,450 m3 of topsoil stripping reinstall
  • 10,700 m3 of common excavation
  • 3,850 m3 of waste excavation
  • 9,100 m3 of borrow excavation
  • 300 m of asbestos pipe removal
  • Inlet Structure build and install
  • 29,000 m2 of seeding and fertilization
  • 25 m of 400mm culvert installation
